78557 - Master Mariner / Surveyor
Our client is a world class technical service provider for the Oil & Gas industry. They operate onshore, maritime and offshore assets, employing over 3,000 people in 80 countries.
They are currently recruiting for the position of Master Mariner/Surveyor, based in Mumbai, India.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Marine Manager you will join a team of professionals with an established and recognized expertise in marine and offshore consultancy.
Job Description
- Carry out suitability and condition surveys of vessels and rigs
- Execute marine warranty survey (MWS) project work including load outs, transportation and towage approvals
- Marine inspections, DP assurance, MCI and independent audits
- Preparation of quotes, verification and marine consultancy support
Skills & Experience
- Must hold Master Mariner Class 1 foreign going certification
- Proven track record in relevant offshore experience within marine sector
- Additional hands-on exposure to pilotage, rig moving, vessel inspections, DP and/or warranty surveys would be a significant advantage
- Strong interpersonal and client facing skills
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word and Excel)
- Excellent English communications and report writing skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Technically and commercially astute
This is a permanent position.
The salary for this position is negotiable.
