NEW! Indonesian Mining Industry - Overlapping Mining Licenses - A Systemic
Problem
The Indonesian Government has recently announced its intention to address
the systemic problem of overlapping mining licenses.The problem of
overlapping mining licenses is not, however, easily resolved due to the many
different reasons for overlapping mining licenses which run the full gamut
from Mining Law tolerance of overlapping licenses to inadequate local mining
office technical expertise to outright wrongdoing. Because of the varied
causes of overlapping mining licenses, there is no single "one size fits
all" solution to this problem.
